DREAMY

I have always been impressed with beautiful, dreamy photos shot with the back-lighting technique. Alex and I have never really tried shooting my outfits using this technique so we decided to give it a try.
Taking into consideration the fact that Alex is not a professional photographer and that he has somewhat developed a habit of shooting the way he thinks works the best, he was a bit resistant at first. And I was anxious.
I must say that I was not all that happy with the final results as most of the photos turned out blurry. I assume that like for any other skill or technique to be mastered one must take time and practice.
What do you think about these photos? Have you tried the back-light technique before? I am always trying to find a way to improve the quality of my photos so I would be very happy if you could share your tips and experiences with me.

Till next time.... Happy Friday everyone!

  1. Back lighting is definitely tricky! The photo style maybe wasn't your favorite, but your outfit does stand out. I love the mint green and check shirt color combinations you put together.

  9. Odusevila me kombinacija! Pokusala sam i ja par puta ovako da slikam, ali mi nekako budu presvijetle slike, a plava kosa jos svijetlija i utopi se u pozadinu ;)

    1. I ja sam to isto primetila kad je plava kosa u pitanju. Ova tehnika mnogo bolje izgleda na devojkama sa tamnom kosom :-( Ali, necu odustati :-))

  17. Photos turnde out great, but I understand your (and his) frustration. My husband takes my photos, and if I want to try something new it can end up in such a anxiety, by the time I explain how and what I would like. And in those cases, photos end up blurry or not even close to what I had in mind. But yours are great. As you said, little more practice and they will be perfect.

    1. It would be more like standing in the snow, as I had my winter boots on just before we took these pics. But yes, likie I said in my ABOUT page I do wear heels even in the snow ;-)
